Expected Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours/week

Ideal Candidate: 

We are looking for a highly motivated Recruitment Intern who is an independent, flexible, and innovative leader. This person should be a problem solver and have excellent communication skills. This person will take the leading role in finding water-passionate individuals and bringing them into our network as Emissaries. The Recruitment Intern will establish relationships with college campuses and youth/ water-oriented programs. This person should be passionate about making a difference in others’ lives and be able to collaborate with a team of Emissaries to spread the word and build excitement.

Recruitment is an essential component for the present and future of our organization. This person should be flexible, friendly, and willing to communicate with a wide-range of people. We are looking for applicants who are passionate about the environment, working with leaders in the water sector, and of course, water.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a recruitment strategy

  • Develop relationships with college staff, professors, clubs, students, and youth/ water-oriented programs

  • Help establish and coordinate Water Emissary hubs on college campuses

  • Build excitement and awareness about Water Emissaries

  • Present and pitch WE to colleges and students

  • Communicate to different channels of people interested in the program (including students, mentors, and business professionals) 

Requisites:

  • Proficient in Google Suite

  • Have a deep interest in building personal and professional relationships 

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)

  • Analytical and problem solving capabilities 

  • Willingness to hustle

  • Innovative thinker 

  • Previous experience with outreach and recruitment

  • Strong attention to detail when managing rapidly changing priorities

  • Proficient in zoom technology and digital organization

  • Ability to collaborate and strategize with team members

  • Self-motivated and self-starter. We want someone who can independently manage time and responsibilities with limited supervision and direction
